Laurie Daugherty offers a wealth of experience as a business generalist, handling a wide range of transactional matters for Montague Law. She began her career as a judicial law clerk and later worked at firms in Washington, D.C., before relocating to Lexington, KY. Laurie is particularly well-versed in addressing the challenges faced by startups and growing businesses.
In addition to her legal career, she has held executive roles in the private sector, where she worked closely with legislative and executive branches of state government on economic development initiatives. Notably, Laurie spent eight years managing early-stage and growth-stage technology programs in Kentucky and founded Kentucky’s Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs in 2012.
